Mona is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Complex Systems Research Group in Toronto. Her research interests are data visualization, Human Computer Interaction, visual analytics, interactive machine learning, and IoT data visualization. Mona got her PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Calgary in 2017. Her PhD research focused on designing novel extensions of familiar data visualization techniques for representing complex and multidimensional data in a variety of contexts such as healthcare, security, finance, and education. During her PhD, Mona also worked as a research intern at Tableau Research and IBM.
Outside of work, Mona enjoys skiing, biking, reading books, watching documentaries, dancing, photography, and hanging out with her friends and family.
