Josh Cameron is a Software Developer at Autodesk Research in Toronto. He has spent his entire professional career developing software tools for artists.
Josh joined Alias in 1998 and wrote code for multiple versions of Maya, ImageStudio, Showcase, Studio, SketchBook Designer, and the Pixlr Express iOS app. He has also worked in the video games industry and written production tools for a feature film special effects company.
As a member of the Complex Systems Research Team at Autodesk Research, Josh channels his passions for architecture, intuitive software, simplicity, and quality in all things into projects related to the application of simulation technology to architectural design.
Josh holds a Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science with a Fine Art minor from the University of Waterloo. He is relentlessly curious about new technologies. When he can find time, he enjoys playing hockey, rollerblading, photography, and biking the Toronto waterfront.
