Cory Mogk is the Autodesk Research Evangelist and Program Manager for IdEx, short for Idea Exploration, an innovation program to help people generate great ideas, gather data to validate their solutions and pitch to management and supporters for ongoing development. Cory handles communications for Autodesk Research and loves to discuss partnership opportunities.
Cory started his career as a Technical Illustrator in Engineering and he quickly gravitated to CAD and 3D design visualization. From there it was a short trip to creating computer graphics for Film, TV and Games. Cory joined Alias to work on PowerAnimator and its successor Maya, later acquired by Autodesk, as an Application Consultant writing courses and training artists and programmers. With a solid understating of the creation process and passionate about customer needs, Cory became the Product Design Manager for Maya and eventually the Product Line Manager for Maya and the Entertainment Creation Suites.
A lifelong learner, Cory has studied Animation, Architecture, Business, Computer Science, Improvisation and Music. Beyond keeping these skills current, Cory enjoys cycling, boardsports and family time. Feel free to use any of these as a springboard to discuss the cool things that Autodesk Research is doing and potential collaborations.
