Francesco Iorio was invited as a panel speaker at the 42nd Design Automation Conference held during 2016 ASME International Design Engineering Technical Conference and the Computer and Information in Engineering Conference (IDETC/CIE) in Charlotte, NC. The special panel session was on "Design for Additive Manufacturing" and included several distinguished speakers from both acaemdia and industry.
Francesco talked about Autodesk Research's vision and endeavor in advancing research in generative design. He also presented Project Dreamcatcher, which is an embodiment of our group's efforts in generative design.
IDETC/CIE is the world's leading research conference in the field of design and related manufacturing. The 2016 conference attracted over 2,000 attendees and over 1,000 technical presentations. IDETC/CIE serves as the leading forum for the sharing recent research and also provide a unique opportunity for networking between a diverse audience from academia, government and industry.
